Hi, my name is Lara,
I’m an illustrator based in Hamburg, Germany.
I’m currently pursuing my Bachelor’s in Illustration at HAW Hamburg.
At the beginning of this year, I published my first book, „Fatto per te“ with Carthusia editiozioni, which won the Junior Prize at their annual „Silent Book Contest“. Since then, I’m working on more book projects and refining my illustration skills. Why I love Illustration!
I’ve been drawing for as long as I can hold a pencil. As I got older, I wanted to turn that passion into something more tangible and accessible. I began by studying game art, where I gained a strong foundation using digital design tools. However, the digital space didn’t fully align with the kind of storytelling I was drawn to. This led me to study children’s book illustration — a field where I feel truly at home! Children’s literature holds incredible power in shaping the young minds of future generations. Being able to contribute to that through my art is so inspiring to me. With a deep sense of responsibility and genuine love for the craft, I aim to create vibrant and fun illustrations and tell thoughtful, heartfelt stories.
